My Brixton is tired! It’s been a busy weekend and that Monday morning feeling has kicked in. But we had to share pics from the Man Like Me gig at the Hoot on Saturday – it was too hot. Might’ve even have been too hot for the Hoot. The dancefloor spontaneously combusted for the short but oh so sweet set that MLM played.
Apparently one of their band members had just quit that day and they did seem to be pumping a lot of pent up frustration into the performance. But if they needed reassurance that even just as a two-piece they can carry their act off, they definitely had it that night. Revelers couldn’t have cared less as they jammed out to tracks like Fruit, Carny, Single Dad and their new single London Town. You have to catch them live. You MUST.

Thanks for this update. I was wondering what happened to this band, as I love them so and they haven’t put out a new single or anything lately. Good to see they’re still kicking and streamlined it to a two-piece. Good on them. They are the core of MLM and they’re better for it.
